Edumedia is a platform that Royal Danish Library makes available to users from Danish educational institutions to exchange videos regarding education, research, communication, information etc.

The content on Edumedia is 100% user driven. Upload of content to Edumedia is free. Only users with a WAYF login can upload content on Edumedia. It is important to be aware that content uploaded to Edumedia is publicly available once you publish it.

By uploading content to Edumedia you permit others to use your material for educational or research purposes. It is a condition that the users credit you and link back to you. Other users are not in any way permitted to change the works or use them commercially. You are at liberty to withdraw your content at any time.

If others are involved in or contribute to your uploaded material, e.g. as a teacher, you must be aware of their copyright. You also have to consider whether others have copyrights e.g. composers or students very actively contributing.

You are obliged to make sure that you do not violate the rights of others when uploading and publishing content on Edumedia. You are responsible for obtaining permission from other license holders for the material to be used on Edumedia. You can use this form to obtain the acceptance from license holders in order to document your legal upload of the material.

Please notice that you might risk a lawsuit or a claim if you break the legislation or violates the rights of others directly or indirectly. This could lead to major consequences. You can read more about the copyright law.

If you upload and publish content, in which another person (e.g. a teacher or a student) is actively participating and can be recognized, a consent regarding the Personal Data Protection Act is needed. It is your responsibility to obtain this consent. You can use this form to obtain consent in order to document your legal use of the material. Read more about the Data Protection Law. Please note that if consent is withdrawn, you are obliged to remove the material from Edumedia.

Royal Danish Library reserves the right to remove all content without responsibility for any kind of loss, directly or indirectly. Royal Danish Library also reserves the right to remove content without any warning or responsibility, if the content is not in accordance with the purpose of Edumedia, or if the State and University Library finds this necessary for other reasons, e.g. if someone complains about the content.

You are free to remove the material you have uploaded at any time. If you find anything that infringes your rights we recommend you to notify Royal Danish Library at once.

The Terms of Service will be updated regularly. It is your responsibility to stay informed of the current Terms of Service for Edumedia and comply with applicable regulations. The State and University Library reserves the right to close or limit Edumedia at any time. If so, there will be a three months period in which you can retrieve your own files.

There is an upper upload limit of 100 gigabytes per user.
